Happy Cinco de Mayo! On May 5, 1862 Napoleon III tried to take Mexico at the Puebla De Los Angelos and lost. But who really cares because a few years later the french did take Mexico only to get out after the US told them to. So why do we celebrate this holiday again? Mexican independence day is in the fall. This is like Columbus Day. I don't know why we celebrate that either.
